French for kids & teens

Homework help that turns into actual confidence — for Ontario students in Core French, Extended French and Immersion.

Streams

Support for every Ontario stream

Core French

Grades 4–12. Vocabulary, verbs and oral presentations, plus the confidence to put a hand up in class.

Extended French

Heavier reading and writing loads, with subject vocabulary from history and geography taught in French.

French Immersion

Where most parents call us. Math and science in French are hard; we work on the language that unlocks the subject.

Writing & grammar

Accord, tenses, connectors and structure — the things that cost marks on every rubric.

Oral presentations

Rehearsal, pronunciation and nerves. Most students improve a full letter grade on presentation marks.

Enrichment

For students already doing well who find school French slow. Real conversation, films, debate.

Our approach

How we teach younger learners

Children do not need a different language; they need a different room. Lessons are shorter, faster-moving and built around games, stories and talking about things a nine-year-old actually cares about.

Teenagers get the opposite treatment: treated as adults, given material with some edge to it, and never made to sing.

What happens first

01

A short chat with you

Fifteen minutes with a parent or guardian: the report card, the teacher’s comments, and what your child says about French.

02

A free trial lesson

Your child meets the tutor. You get an honest read on where the difficulty actually sits — often it is confidence, not grammar.

03

A weekly slot

Same tutor, same time each week. Notes after every lesson and a full report each term.

From parents

Grade 7 Immersion was going badly and he had started saying he was 'bad at languages'. Four months later he is arguing with me about French film subtitles.

The notes after every lesson are what I value most. I always know exactly what she worked on and what to ask her about.

My daughter's oral presentation mark went from 68 to 91. Same kid, different confidence.

Parent questions

Six. Below that, short playful sessions with a parent in the room work far better than formal tutoring, and we will say so rather than take the booking.

Yes. Send us the course outline or the most recent report card and lessons are planned against the actual expectations your child is graded on.

Yes, across the GTA, with a $15 travel supplement. Many families start in person and move online once the child is comfortable with the tutor.

Every instructor working with minors holds a current vulnerable sector police check, and a parent or guardian is welcome to observe any lesson.

We switch, immediately and without awkwardness. Fit matters more than credentials at this age.
