Most French courses hand you a grammar table and hope conversation arrives later. It rarely does. We invert that order.
Every lesson opens with a real situation — ordering at a boulangerie, a performance review, a hospital intake form — and you produce French out loud before any rule is explained. The grammar then lands on something you have already said, which is why it sticks.

I am a complete beginner. Is that really fine?
It is the most common way people start with us. The A1 track assumes no French at all — we begin with sounds, greetings and the handful of verbs that carry ordinary conversation. Roughly half of every intake has never taken a French class.
How quickly will I actually be able to hold a conversation?
With two live classes a week plus about three hours of self-study, most learners handle everyday exchanges — shops, directions, small talk, simple work topics — after twelve to sixteen weeks. Confident, unscripted conversation on unfamiliar topics typically lands between B1 and B2, around nine to twelve months in.
Do you teach Québécois French or French from France?
Both, deliberately. The grammar and writing we teach is standard international French, which is what every exam marks. For listening and speaking you will hear both accents from week one, because in Canada you will meet both. If you are preparing for TEF Canada or a Québec-facing job, we weight the Québécois side more heavily.
Can I switch between formats once I have started?
Yes. Learners routinely move from group classes to private lessons before an exam, or pause live classes over the summer and keep the self-paced course running. Credit carries across.
What happens if I miss a class?
Every live class is recorded and posted within a few hours, and you keep access for the whole term. Cancel more than twelve hours ahead and you can take the same lesson in another group that week at no cost.
Do you offer in-person lessons in Toronto?
Private lessons, yes — across the GTA, subject to tutor availability and a small travel supplement outside the downtown core. Group classes run online so we can keep them small and level-matched.
